Looking for funding to accomplish our mission.Whether you are looking to give as an individual, business, or corporation, the Foundation is always looking for funding to help accomplish its goals. But how can you receive the most mileage for your charitable donation?
Giving is good for you!
Aside from the tax breaks charitable giving affords, the biggest benefit is the feeling you receive from helping others. So many of us have been blessed with more than we need and sharing those fortunes is good for the soul.
Tax deductions
Donations that are generally tax-deductible include sponsorships of charities or events, donations of services, and cash and donations of items.
Benefit the community
Andrew Carnegie famously established 2,509 libraries between 1883 and 1929, with 1,689 in the United States. This improved the quality of life for people in the community. Supporting parks, zoos, museums, and other cultural institutions follows the same logic.
Provide an opportunity
You started your business from scratch. You did well. You credit the education provided by your college. You establish a scholarship or contribute a smaller amount to your class scholarship fund. You help a student with great potential yet limited financial resources.
Leave a legacy
There are many ways to make a meaningful gift to a cause close to your heart, either in the near term or as part of a longer term estate plan.
