Sleep in Heavenly Peace

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a charity that the VIP Foundation has supported for several years. SHP’s mission is to provide beds for kids who don’t have them, and their motto is “no kid sleeps on the floor in our town.”  SHP is a national organization and has a very active and involved group of volunteers in Arizona.

The VIP Foundation tries to engage with SHP every year with a “Build Day” – basically a Saturday morning for 3-4 hours, to prepare the bed parts for installation at needy homes.  At any point in time, there is a backlog of several hundred requests for beds in greater Phoenix alone.  Two years ago, the VIP family along with friends and youth groups, prepared 135 bed parts in the VIP corporate parking lot!  Roughly 50 VIP volunteers participated in this wonderful event. 

SHP has since developed a permanent facility near the airport that is being used for this purpose. This year, the Foundation has committed to Saturday morning, April 26, 2025, to get as many VIP volunteers as possible to support this very worthy cause.  Friends, family, youth groups, etc., are all invited to participate!
